OK!! Really!! Instant Chocolate?!? And it’s warm?! Sign me up!

Seriously you can make (gluten free) brownies in you microwave? Now I know!

LaraBar Uber Roasted Nut Roll – $1.75

For anyone in the mid-west, you may be familiar with the salted nut roll candy bars. These consist of nougat covered in caramel and rolled in salted peanuts – very yummy, but still a candy bar! Well this LaraBar is just like those salted nut rolls with about half the carbs and is gluten-free, non-GMO, all natural, and Kosher plus it tastes AMAZING! LaraBar used a variety of nuts including almonds, cashews, peanuts, pecans and macadamia nuts! We will be buying these again!

Q.bel Crispy Wafers in Minty Mint – $1.15

These look good, we can’t wait to try them!

Dale’s Raw Protein Bar in Strawberry Banana – $3.00

This was the one I was most excited to try. The idea of a 100% raw (not cooking anything above 160 degrees) bar makes a lot of nutritional sense to me, so I was very happy to see this in the box. Well, from beginning to end it was crap – and looked like it! When we opened the package out came this murky brown lump. It was literally a misshapen form of stuff, There had been zero attempt to even form some sort of ‘bar’. A lot of the items we get in our monthly boxes we share with the kiddo ( he will eat just about anything – mud, crayons, quiche, curry, and sushi) This was not the case with this concoction, after flat out refusing to take a second bite, I had investigate the reaction. I took one bite and completely agreed, it was like biting into stiff, whole wheat bread dough, with a hint of fruit if you dared to try to chew long enough and I say’ try’ to chew because it almost immediately begins to disintegrate in your mouth, just gross taste and texture. We will NEVER be buying this product, nor do I think we will be brave enough to try another variety.

Peeled Snacks in Apple Clusters .63oz – $2.00

The Kiddo loves apples and crunchy snacks, so I am sure this will be a hit!

Maakoa, Koopuwa Super Fruit Beverage 1.0 oz – $1.00

34 Degrees in Savory Crisps – $0.75

These waffer like disks are much lighter than your standard cracker and are all-natural. Over all they were good with a hint of cheese flavor.

Nordic Naturals DHA Xtra 2 caps. – $0.90

MinTeas in Resist (Lime mojito) by Tea forte – $1.89

Tea forte has created a line of mints to address a variety of issues by using teas and other botanical elements. The taste was a bit surprising, they are definitely not a breath mint, but I like being able to carry them around in my handbag.

Waxelene 7.5ml – $0.45

This seems like a really nice alternative to petroleum products, and the small amount I used on my hands felt pretty good, no gooey or sticky feeling.

$10.00 Gift Card to TheOxfordTrunk.com

The overall value is approximately $29.95, including the coupon to TheOxfordTrunk.com (there are items under $10.00 listed so I figured the value was good!) Again, I am impressed by how many items were fit into the box. There were not any household items this month, but it still contained a decent variety. I am really pleased to learn about new products, especially if they are more Eco-friendly and I love to be given the opportunity to support smaller businesses!
