January Julep Maven Review – Bombshell

Julep is a nail care and polish company (They have a few salons in Washington state) with a subscription box called Julep Maven. When you first sign up to be a Julep Maven you complete a survey to determine your polish style, with one of four possible results.

  • Classic with a Twist
  • American Beauty
  • Boho Glam
  • It Girl

Not only can you skip a box, but you can switch polish styles each month as well! They typically send an email when each month’s selections are ready and you have 4 days to either chose your style or skip, you also have the option of including “add-ons” which are discounted products you can “include” (they usually ship in a different box) in your monthly box. The base cost is $19.99 per month including shipping for two polishes and possibly a product or two, all valued at $40.00. Also as a Maven, you will 20% all purchases from their website.

January’s Theme was “Neons and Nudes Resort Collection”

Bette an Electric neon purple crème – $14.00

I LOVE this, probably because I really have a thing for purple in any and all shades, from pens and kitchen equipment to sticky notes and make up (funny, I don’t have much purple clothing?!)

Ava a Ballet slipper pink frost – $14.00

This is a very nice neutral color that I am sure will get used often!

Hand and Cuticle Stick – $22.00 “Moisturize and protect in one easy no-mess step. Restore the youthful appearance of your hands with a peptide punch to strengthen and repair your skin.”

They included some swatch stickers and perfectly themed neon hair ties!

The overall value of this Julep Maven, box is $50.00, not bad for only paying $19.99 (I didn’t get any “add ons” this go-around) I am really liking this subscription and eagerly anticipate February’s arrival!
