CraveBox Cooking Light Series Review – Box 1 Starting the Year off Light

CraveBox isn’t a standard monthly subscription box, typically you complete a survey and if picked they send you out the box. I signed up on their website to be notified when a specially themed boxes and surveys becomes available. Recently, Cravebox has developed additional methods of obtaining one of their specially themed boxes. The first is through the purchase of a Series., the first series available is the Cooking Light Series. From the Cravebox website:

  1. Series Craveboxes are going to focus around one type of box or brand and will consist of 3-5 different boxes spanning over several months
  2. You have the ability up front to purchase all boxes in a series OR you can enter the drawing like a typical Cravebox for a single box

Crave Box tells you the price of all the boxes in advance (it is usually $15.00 or less) but you don’t get to know what’s in the box, just the theme of the box.

This is my first box in the Cooking Light Series

The theme is “Start Your Year Off Light”

Information included for the Box and the Cooking Light Series

Two booklets were included with recipes and ideas for cooking lighter everyday.

Barilla Pasta in White Fiber Mini Penne and Veggie Farfalle – $6.00
Yeah for Pasta with veggies and extra fiber, two things everyone could use more of in their diets! Pasta is such an easy go-to for the kiddo’s lunch so it is nice to add these to my pantry!

Coupon for $1.00 off one 12oz Box

(2) Sun Rype Fruit Strip in Wildberry – $2.50
Great snack and the Kiddo loves these! These are actually considered treats in our house, they are 100% fruit and are great motivators for the kiddo. The only thing that could make them better is if they were organic!

Trident Gum in Island Berry Lime – $2.48

SnackWells Fudge Pretzels – $1.15
What a nice treat, Chocolate and only 100 calories!

7up Ten – $0.75

Belvita Breakfast Biscuits in Cinnamon Brown Sugar – $1.00
These smelled nice when I opened the package. They tasted pretty good knowing they are suppose to be a kind of meal replacement, but not sure if this would keep me satisfied as a full-time breakfast substitute.

Approximate value of this CraveBox is $14.88, this is the lowest value CraveBox I have received in fact, it was less than the amount I paid! I really hope the rest of the boxes in this series picks up on the value side, especially seeing that I prepaid the entire series! Until the next box, Crave on…
